About Strauss Cottage 1886

When we discovered her, she was broken and derelict. Over four years we painstakingly restored her, paying attention to all the historical and beautiful imperfections this grand old lady had accrued over her lifetime of 130years. We decorated her with love, with objects and furnishings from around Australia and the world, and brought her back to life, to be celebrated and enjoyed by those who take pleasure and wonder from staying in a place steeped in history. Our home away from home, the cottage has subsequently been carefully curated with fine linens, sumptuous textures and interesting collections. The way we like to stay when we're getting away from the rat race.
